Has anyone reinforced their cub at the small triangle on the fuse where the rear of the wing sits? I ask this because mine seems "squishy" , and there is a small gap at the front of the wing over the fuselage. Would it be ok to put a triangular piece of balsa there like a shim?

If I understand where you are talking (the verticle triangleish on the fuse) that is a must reinforcment spot. I cut a matching shape uping a popsicle stick and epoxied it on there. (may have to trim the bottom of the fuse a very small amount to get the piece to set nice and flush. Becareful not to change the angle a 1/16" at the fuse could be a 1/2" or so at the ed of the wing. If this is not done that area will eventually wear away and you will have a gap and sloppy wing movement. My wing fits nice and snug. Popsicle sticks, 5 min epoxy and packing tape. are the cubs best friend  Another good mod is aking clear packing tape and cover the cowling. Does not need to be thick just a covering the cowling plastci breaks easily. adding some tape covering really reinforces it alot. No breakage at all. If you wat more protection use the packing tape with the fibers in it. I use both. |

I used one of the plastic dividers that you get in tool drawers. Marked and cut to shape.   |
