Finally got around to sorting some of my photos from the fall. I pulled together some of my favorites in a slideshow: www.flickr.com/photos/84308661@N00/sets/1229314/show/These were taken with a Canon SD40 velcroed to the side of the Super Cub with a slight down angle. The shots are of a summer camp where I work as the Boys Camp Director. The super cub has a 2409-18t motor with zippy 2100mah lipo batteries. I use a DX6i from Spektrum. I chose the SD40 based on Clipper453's nice looking photos and because I found a cheap one on eBay. I get a lot of info from this forum and have learned a ton! Thanks!

Great photos! The colors are spectacular. Where were these photos taken? Sometimes I wish I lived in an area that had more colors and foliage.

I (and the camp) live in northern Minnesota. Every fall is different in terms of color, this last one was a good one.
The lake is frozen to a depth of 2 - 3 feet now and we got another couple inches of snow today. Winter photographs look almost black and white. As things start to slowly warm I'll try to get out on a clear day for some comparative photos.
I've always looked at your photos and movies with an admiring eye. I especially liked your set from South Mountain Park before they gave you the boot. Living in AZ does have it's positives - most of the clear calm days during the winter here can be the coldest. My fingers get cold and sticky things lose their stick (velcro, decals, tape, etc.) But batteries and esc's stay nice and cool!
Thanks for posting so much of your work, it's helped me figure things out!

Howdy Neighbor! Boy does that look like this place in the fall. Nice pics! Wish I had a good enough camera to put on the cub but my good ole Kodak digi will not die so I won't buy another...lol. The cam's I bought for the sc are not that good as far as quality of pics. Hope winter is treating you betten than here....we got 220" of snow so far and in a blizzard now.
Take care and keep warm, Kevin

That's beautiful country side, where you boys live.
I wish we had more water around my home. That looks just amazing.

Was your camera set with a timer? They look fantastic! I actually velcro the shutter down just before take off in continuous picture mode. It takes 1.6 pics per second. The problem is that the automatic settings are set on the first picture you take and remain the same for every other picture. So I try to point the camera at a distant point as I am securing the velcro. One of these days I'll work on rigging up a servo to press the shutter in flight. Thanks everyone for all the kind feedback. I am lucky to fly in such a nice spot. Although, more than a few of the trees have claimed my super cub! Only one overnight stay in a tree so far. I've also put two cameras in the lake, and they don't work so well after that. I buy them with broken LCD screens from eBay and then use a video out cable with a TV to mess with the settings. I have had to memorize a couple of key press sequences to use while in the field. It's been a year since my first plane and I'm slowly getting better. Super Cub parts are pretty cheap, so I keep flying!

Sconchiti, Nice pictures. My family and I were up at Tettegouchee State Park and surrounding area for a week this past late fall. Slightly past prak foliage but it was very similar to these photos, fantastically beautiful. We live west of the Cities but get up there a couple times a year.
Good job with the pictures.
My origins bring me back to NH and the White Mountains of Central and Northern NH offer some of the most breathtaking fall colors one could ever ask for.
