Are the things you use, for fishing? What are they called? Looks like yours wont' come off very easy in a crash?
Why the 4 big nuts on the corners of the battery box?

Yeah, for fishing, they're called swivels. If you bend the hooks on the end of the swivels, you can set them to hold on as tightly or as loosely as you want.
The four big nuts are part of my custom battery box reinforcement. My mod is similar to the one on youtube by NECubFlyer, but I don't attach the battery box plate to the popsicle sticks with the stock screws. Instead, I put some small 1/8" screws in the popsicle stick before I epoxied it in to leave threaded rod sticking up for the four holes in the battery box plate. I then have a washer, a split washer, and a nut securing the plate to the popsicle stick. The dome nuts are just there to cover the ends of the threaded rod as I can imagine that otherwise, they'd be quite efficient at tearing chunks of flesh out of people at speed.
I opted to get the smallest threaded screws I could, which was 1/8". I could get the little bolts/screws, washers and split washers in the size, but as luck would have it there was no where in Adelaide that could get 1/8" dome nuts, and by the time I realised the 1/8" ones were already epoxied in! I just got the closest size I could (in stainless steel) and attached them with super glue gel. They also make for an awesome skid pad for the plane to sit on if the landing gear is out.
