No it runs on a 14.4 volt 4 cell(4000mah), but the receiver and servos operate on a 2cell regulated to 6 volts.

Maiden flight happened at my club today....finally !! Everything went perfect, plane had surprising speed for a smaller motor, turning higher RPM. Battery life was pretty good and flight characteristics are very trainerish, as to be expected from a Nexstar. But a nice plane to fly and take the stress off for some easy flying fun. As far as trainers go I think it's got to be one of the cooler looking trainers on the market today. It's got a bit of a sporty appeal compared to most boxy trainer you see these days. I will try to get some video soon and post it for all to see. Happy flying in 09 and lots of happy landings !! Flyer88

congrats on the maiden. i finally got out to the club yesterday too, came back with a broken prop shaft and a heck of a sun burn lol. i get crap from the guys for flying my multiplex magister "trainer" most of the time. but its fun and relaxing, what im looking for most times.
