can an eflite servo extension that works with "most common servos" be used with a JR servo? im not sure if JR's goofy inverse negativity thing applies to their servos, or if i would be ok. my castle ESC hooked up to my JR RX just fine, but i want to make sure these leads will work before I buy them and pay shipping
thanks

my RX manual shows the top pin being brown/negative, the center pin as red/positive, and the bottom pin as orange/signal. is the center pin positive polarity industry standard on all common brands of RX/servos?

Any thee pin servo will work. + is always center. - is your 'darkest' wire, signal is the 'lightest' wire. Futaba has that little tab on the side for orientation. You can just cut it off. Putting the servo leads in reversed will not hurt anything-just won't work.
The negative JR thing is only for the charger, nothing else. From my JR perspective what is it with this Futaba stuff where channel 3 is throttle and WHY IN HELL do you have to reverse the throttle? That's stupid. Up it up. Get with it.

I found a (old) link to stuff about various servo manufacturers and wiring. It's more for guidance for others but also related to this thread : www.fatlion.com/sailplanes/servos.htmlDiagrams at the bottom help identify the different types, not sure if Airtronics types are still used.

I use JR Pro as well and had sort of a funny experience. I had my cub on the dining room table and this is when I was installing the JR servos. I noticed the rudder was reversed, so I opened the battery cover on the TX and started flipping switches to reverse it back. Well, don't flip switch 1 because my plane launched from the dining room table into the wall and tried to climb the wall using the prop as legs.....LOL!!! Apparently switch 1 is for the throttle?? I have a divet in the drywall and incriminating black plastic GWS marks about two feet up from that. When the wife asked what happened......I blamed it on the kids of course
