I just put on a SULLIVAN 1" Tailwheel, #352.
It's a perfect fit right out of the pkg. Take the little original one off, and just put the new one on.
It's grooved solid rubber with an aluminum hub
$3.19 Canadian

does it make the plane heavier? what about the drag?

If you use foam lite wheels it doesn't add much weight. The drag doesn't seem to affect it much. I have 2 3/4" wheels on mine.

I've also added larger wheels. Is there a diagram or schematic that shows a way to build a simple procedure to check the CG of the SC? As I add (or subtract) things, I like to be cognoscente of what I am doing to this critical spec. Thanks Rolie

I made a simple balancing machine out of a couple dowel rods and a 1 foot square piece of 3/4" plywood. I beveled the top of the rod so it is smaller. Someone else suggested using rubber eraser tips. Make sure your battery is installed when you balance - the first time I forgot and threw it all off Small bits of clay in the nose cowl help balance it if it is tail heavy. You can also see the "snow screen" on my air intakes, keeps it from getting snow packed inside the cowl and messing up the CG. Pictures:

That's a great help cjg. I'll do somthing very simular to what you've done. Thanks for the pictures. Do you know where the CG is supposed to be. Do you believe it to be about where you show it in your pictures? Thanks again; Rolie

Center of lift is about 1/4 of the way back from leading edge of wings. That is where I put my CG.

I just added dubro 2.75in wheels the other night. Instead of just using the 5-32 brass piece I bought the 5/32 and a 1/8inch piece of brass tubing. The 1/8inch just fits over the axle and it fits very tight on. Then the 5/32 piece goes over the 1/8inch piece on the axle and the wheel on over that. It makes for a very snug but freely moving wheel.

Why does the wheel/hub on my Dubro 's look so different? Pic of cjg's Dubro lite foam 2 3/4" wheels. Pic of my Dubro lite foam 2 1/2" wheels. Just put them on and can't find the package they came in to verify they are dubro. Not that it matters much they work, it's just got me scratching my head now. Will have to make another trip to the LHS I bought them from to see what mine are.
