Well ,mac and I went flying today . Well as usual , the SC preformed flawlessly . Decided to maiden the new 190. On the 1st throw by mac (see Video) , the 190 did a nose dive , and broke the spinner (Pilot Error ) . Mac launched again and the 190 got airborne . The war bird was flying nice and was alot faster than I expected . Was getting used to the aileron control , and mac was scrambling to get the vid camera going when I noticed the battery hatch suddenly sprang open and was almost vertical . Well, me getting used to ailerons and the fact that I couldn't get no altitude , the 190 tipped on her side and auger ed into the ground ( Think mac is gonna post damage). next was the Commander 2's turn . Mac launched the Commander 2 , got her airborne . Next thing we know the wind takes control takes the Commander and long story short , lost forever in the woods , after and unsuccessful recovery . Well , tomorrow my son and I are en route to get his new SC ,

Bummer! Those warbirds always seem to wreck the first time. In my case 3 of them did before I could fly one successfully. Did you stall it when it rolled over? What caused it to do that?

Oh those d**n battery hatches....sorry! Forgot to tell you they suck! They need help for sure. I am sorry to hear about the FBC2....not much of a loss according to your older posts.....

Looking forward to pics or video...as SCC would say....I am getting the popcorn ready now!
