I have not used the same brand but I have used an almost identical bomb on my Top Flite P-40. Works very well. Before you use the smoke see how hot it burns. Styrofoam doesn't like heat. I have used fireworks style smoke bombs but the burn time is not as long as I would like and they burn HOT. I may get some of those to use. Let me know how you like them.

LOL I though about the same thing in case I was flying way the heck out there upon lvc.....hit the rocket button and get back. Would be quite simple. I also pondered the idea of putting a edf on both side of the fuse and putting a switch in to turn them on upon lvc or just to get up high and use them to stay afloat then turn them off.......could be fun and I happen to have 4 or 5 edf's laying around. Hmmmm......got me thinking again.

Kevin www.hobby-lobby.com/atricks.htm ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I have the same bomb set, well 2 of them actually. They are quite alot of fun. I made a mount out of balsa that had the servo on it as well. Then I can just velcro it to any plane with a spare channel. As for the smokers I havent used, but I have read that they are low temp and have been used on alot of foamies. Make sure you use the mounts made for them and you shouldnt have any problems at all!!! |
