don't know if this has been suggested before, but white floam seems to be great for repairing all the minor digs the wing takes (especially for re-enforcing the area by the rubber bands)

Hey Pengiun,
Did you manage to get white Floam?? Just been for a wander round a few shops and can only find pink, green or yellow!
Also, does it stick itself to the wing or do you make up the shape of the repair with the floam and once its set glue it on?
Cheers

I found some white floam on Amazon.
with a bit of encouragement it sticks on by its self, great for stopping the rubber bands from digging in (or repairing after!)

You just smear it in like putty and it stays when it dries??
Neat.

I used Great Stuff foam to repair my fuse where the engine\gearbox smashed through it. I also used a thin layer of epoxy first, then filled in the holes with GS. It is sandable and it looks like I have a perfect sculpture for when I get my new firewall. Hope so.

I just used Gorilla Glue for a recent repair. After drying, it foams up and seems to stick to everything. I got good adhesion by applying the Gorilla Glue with a toothpick and stabbing the SC foam here and there so the repair would have some roots into the original foam. To help shape the Gorilla Glue as it foams up, I surrounded the area with tape to form a dam so the glue would foam-up into a shape I wanted.
