Hi Paul
Lovely video - great to see the Cub flying from an unusual site - looks great over the water but two questions:
1) Are you using your 5in1 for the onboard video and if so where are you mounting it so that you get no "prop stripes"?
2) What do you do if it ends up in the sea!!! ;D
Happy 2008

Hi Malcolm. I am using the 5 in 1 for on-board. You have to dig a hole in the cub behind the batt box. You have to angle the camera backwards. I then use a couple of strips of electrical tape to hold in place. 2) What do you do if it ends up in the sea!!! ;D Malcolm It has , twice ;D Each time it's happened the cub goes WOT with the slider in the off position and does a good impression of a boat. ;D Fortunately i have only had to wade in ankle deep. I get it home ASAP and put it in the shower except the batt to get rid of the salt water. Dry it out and she is still going. I think i have been lucky. I was not so lucky with one of my 5 in 1's. I landed and the cub just rolled into the surf, the camera was under slung like the above pic and the salt water killed it. It all adds to the excitement. ;D

Hi Paul Thanks for the photo and explaination. Still looks a bit precarious and as my Cub was a birthday present I am a bit loath to cut holes in it (except for crashing that is!!! ) but you do get a great perspective from that angle. Have just got myself a secondhand flycam one and it seems easier to mount using just rubberbands but I do not think the quality is as good as the 5in1 (but as it has an SD card you can get lots of video) Great video and I still think you are brave to fly it over water. Am a bit jealous of the scenery especialy the pics of the Cub on the rocks!!! Happy landings Malcolm (in very windy-gusting 40-50mph in London - and wet England)
