Radio Gear: Spektrum DX6 Servos: Spektrum S75 (4) ESC: Electrifly C-12 Wheels: Dubro 2.75" ultralights Ailerons: 2" x 13" bottom-hinged with 3M Blenderm hinge tape Paint used: Tamiya I know it's not a "great" paint job. I did it in about an hour in the back yard. It was a beautiful day and I was in a rush to get in the air. I still think it looks pretty good despite the occasional tape-bleed and a little over spray here and there. (There's also a little dried mud on there from flying yesterday ... used a dirt parking lot as an airstrip) Looks really nice in the air, especially when the sun catches the top-side in a climb, dive or bank. ;D My primary purpose was to have a very bold paint scheme to make it very easy to judge orientation in the air ... mission accomplished.

Looks Good! How are the ailerons treating you?

Looks Good! How are the ailerons treating you? I'm absolutely ecstatic over them. It completely changes the character of this plane in my opinion. I'm having a real hard time teaching my left thumb to steer on the ground though. I'm not finding myself using the rudder in the air much yet either, except on hammer head turns. I just dialed in some rudder mixing with the ailerons to counter the little bit of adverse yaw I'm seeing ... haven't flown it with that yet ... too windy today. Maybe in the wee hours before work tomorrow.

LOL thats is one of the things I wish they would address when making beginer planes. Your not going to find another Tx with rudder on right stick. I causes confusion when upgrading to another plane or trying out your buddies.........crash!!

(If this thread is still active) I had a few questions about the aileron mod. How would the flight characteristics change if the ailerons were short as opposed to long also how would the flight characteristics differ if the ailerons were closer to the fuselage or the wing tips? What setup would be most advantageous for a beginner with some experience looking for a good aileron trainer and hoping to move into a 4 channel mid-wing scale or aerobatic plane?
