I taught myself to fly RC about 6 weeks ago on the super cub and I've been doing pretty well, so recently with lots of help from mrmugen I made the switch to lipo's. WOW!! If you are considering making the switch a word of caution.... Once you go to lipo's you will never go back. I am hooked.
Plenty of inside loops, outside loops, inverted flight, some moves I don't know what to call them.
Love this plane!

Hi coougarr, Just joined and I got a super cub for my first plane. I'm enjoying the plane but it don't stay up very long. I too like the idea of lipo's it sounds great. Would it be possible to let me know what to do and what to get to make the switch possible. thanks ronzo

Ronzo, I'd be glad to help. First off if you have never used lipo's before I encourage you to read and learn as much as you can first. While they are a lot of fun and have many advantages Lipo's can be dangerous if used improperly. This forum has great information as well as some other sites I can point you to.
The most important thing to do is switch your stock connectors to deans or another good connector...The stock connector won't hold up well with lipo's.

thanks for getting back Jonathan. Yes I've read about them and I have a charger for them ( a Accu-cycle ) I just don't know what I should do or need to change my Cub over. I read about it and it all seems very confusing to me. I figured that you changed your Cub over that you could help Thanks Ronzo

Ronzo, It was confusting to me at first as well. I'll send you a PM with the details of what I did. I learned everything about the mod from the guys here on this form. Check out the link 18agian posted. Kevin explains a lot of things on that thread.

Are the 3 cell Lipo's all the same size? Any brand fit better in the SC? I'm ready for the Lipo change also and just ordered a nice charger for them.

Thanks 18again. They do help BUT what is the jumper? The only wire next to the act plugs is a plug that looks like it goes to the side of the battery cover. sorry Ronzo
