I went flying today an my stock battery connector broke where the battery plugs into the plane. I have to run into town tommorrow and I'm too impatient to order a set online. Does anyone know of any store that sells them? Radioshack, Menards, computer stores, HomeDepot?
Thanks, Todd

Thanks guys. I'm sure the Radio Shack ones would work but I'm not sure they would last any longer than the ones that came with the Supercub. I'll check out HobbyTown tommorrow and look for the Ultra Deans.
This site is great. Finding lots of cool stuff.
Thanks

Thanks for all the help guys. I got my Deans connectors at hobbytown this morning. The guy tried to talk me out of them and said I should try this other kind if I was serious about doing it right. I can't remember what they were called but they looked like an oversized version of what I had already. I figured I had better get what the experts on this board suggested. The hobbytown guy was the same one who said I couldn't put a camera on my plane because it wouldn't handle the weight so I don't trust his input much.
Thanks again

swampfox201, Generally IMHO; It is interesting the 'wealth' of knowledge one can get from the LHS's. It is not only hobby stores, I have found this true at various chains. They have overhead like crazy and need to forfeit revenue to compete with market, internet so this leaves little moneys to pay expert employees. True there are the few loyalists who enjoy the hobby so much they'll work in their glory and be happy getting paid beans but for the most part these people have hobby habits that demand higher potential compensation. Bummed yet? The real bummer is yet to come. I believe many people fall casualty to this misleading information ending their first experiences in disaster/frustration and never get to realize the full potential and satisfaction of RC flight. On the bright side ones who become aware of sites supporting specific products, as this fine one, develop a relationship a camaraderie and friendships emerge. Spread the word. Well this post went full circle! Wayne

Boy tell me about it. The guy I have talked to actually owns the store but his attitude sucks. One of those glass is half empty guys. Everytime I have been in there and told him what I wanted to do he had a very negative attitude, kinda made me feel stupid and said it can't be done. Everytime I have went home and found a way to do it. His attitude has to be a turn off for anyone trying to get started and doesn't have access to a community like this one. Todd
