Upgraded my batteries to 2150 20c 3s lipo flying is great now, But upon landing I usually check my motor by touching it and it just seems way to hot. I run it at half throttle in the air.
What is to hot and is there anything I could do to make it run cooler?

Most people dont do this but going with a smaller pitch prop is a good idea from the start. Try a 10x6 and see how it affects the temps. About 130-140F is plenty hot.

Yes, prop down. The GWS 10x6 HD might work well. More volts = more RPM = more load on the motor. Excess work becomes heat. You can also fly longer and harder with that. 3S is pushing that package. You can also get a heatsink. I've got a skinny blue one on mine (e-flite?). Can't remember where I got it.
