My TowerPro 2409-18T motor mount

Motor is a outrunner Towerpro BM2409-18T mounted on the stock motor mount that had the gear box & shaft removed and sanded down. The circuit board is from an old PC controller card I had laying around (I cut the square piece from part of the card that barely had any chips or other electronics). The circuit board is secured using the stock bolts that hold the stock motor mount. I found a piece of wood that had the correct width to extend my motor up to the innermost part of the cowl. It is secured to the circuit board using (2) screws. Finally, the motor is mounted to the wood using (3) small wood screws.

Motor is connected to the TowerPro BEC:

BESC: 25A (programmable)
Current: 25-30A
Voltage: 6-12V
BEC 3 Cell Lipo
Size: 45x38x10mm 24.5grams

I am having a problem with pitch. It seems to pull and spin to the right. Any ideas. Using a 9x6 prop. The Center of Gravity (CG) seems to be right at stock.

is your new "Thrust Angle" the same as with stock motor? "some down an to the right". yeah im thinking of useing a direct drive 2409-12 outrunner when the new rubs off on mine. so yours a climb fast? what sort duration you getting with throttle mangement?

Hi I just saw your TP Brushless motor setup for the supercub ... Did you get the thrust angle problem fixed?? If so ... HOW ...

I have just ordered my super cub and am planning to do the same thing ... I have been building and modifing planes for a while now with the T P brushless motors ..

If your still having trouble with your thrust angle then maybe I can help ... You are probabally using the 3 screw motor mount .. I put shims under the mount at the screw holes (used washers) to get the angle correct ... I hope this can help you
