Look! I have tried a couple of times to reach the person that started the "Installed Himax outrunner HC2816-0890 Maiden..." But that person can't answer any of my questions ( Don't ask why I don't know) But the reason I brought this up is because I had a bunch of questions that if you don't mind I would greatly appreciate being answered. #1 If you look at the thread that I have already pointed out you will see that the mount was plywood my first question is exactly what is the thickness of that mount? I'm not sure how thick a piece of lite ply would be so please tell me what the total measurement of one 1" piece of plywood, and two ?" pieces of lite ply would be. #2 Does anybody know if any mods were made to the firewall before the mount was glued in place? If so what were they? #3 I know that the description of how to do this mod was very detailed but I'm having understanding somethings. how do I adjust the thrust (No pun intended) From what I read it was not needed but if I have to adjust it at some point I would like to know how. Thank you for your timely replys and I will add any other questions I might have When I think of them. Thank you for your time! Michael

1. Any ply will work with in reason. I use 2 different thicknesses and they both worked fine. Try 1/8 or 1/16 or even 3/32. 2. No mods to firewall needed what so ever. 3. no need to adjust your thrust angle...it is set into the stock gear box already. Simple cut off the outer plastic with a dremel tool. Make sure to cut off the plastic flush with the rest of the surface.

Sorry for the stupid question but what is the outer plastic? The plastic on the firewall? If so where do I cut it? You probobly don't have any but some pics would be nice. Also what prop should I use? Thanks

Well if you look at the stock motor mount it has a flat plane in the center. IYou need to cut off the part that holds the shaft and motor so it is flat all the way across it.

you want to make it look similar to this by cutting off the shaft tube so you have a flat surface to attach your motor mount. here is a link to how i did my brushless out runner mount.

Hold on just a second! I thought you guys were talking about the plywood mount I see you are talking about some other mount. If you look at the "Himax... Installed... Maiden..ecs" Thread you will see that the mount that I am talking about uses plywood instead of the original plastic mount. the only thing that is stock is the firewall. Sorry but I think you just didn't know what I was talking about. Thank you guys.

If you look at the mount in the (Installed himax outrunner...) Thread you will see that the mount is only made of plywood and the stock firewall. What I need to know is do I make any mods to the firewall (Not the gearbox) before I glue the plywood in place.

I mean the answer to your question is "no". If you look at the mount in the (Installed himax outrunner...) Thread you will see that the mount is only made of plywood and the stock firewall. What I need to know is do I make any mods to the firewall (Not the gearbox) before I glue the plywood in place
