Hi,
I am new to flying fixed wing, but i have some experience with rotary and quads. Also I have a parrot disco but I wanted to move towards something less "automatic"
My neighbour has a cub in a box thats never been opened I tested the battery and its still takes a charge. The aircraft comes with a spektrum DX8 gen 1 Tx and two AR 400 receivers, neither have been installed. Is £150 a good buy ?
The bonus being I can use the Tx to learn to fly(crash) my disco "acro" and I have a second plane thats bigger than a park flyer but still not huge.
I will read through the hints and tips post on this site, but before I do the deal is there anything i need to look out for ?
Regards
Scampy

Price does not sound to bad considering a new Cub as a Bind and fly is $169 US dollars a DX8 radio is around $200 US dollars and AR 400 Rx's are about $30 US dollars each
only thing would be is what Cub is it ?
is it an older Cub that used a old NiMh battery
is it the Cub that had the ACT system ( that does not work but causes crashes ) but once unhooked does great with a Lipo battery OR is it the newer Cub that has the SAFE system which is pretty good
one can not go wrong with a CUB, regardless of which one, you just may have to do a few modifications to make it Great depending on which it is
and WELCOME to the site
and you are ahead of the game some if you have been flying quads it is different for sure.
not sure about going from quads to planes but i know planes to quads seemed to be easier for me...lol
