My Dynam FW 190 ,with a flying field modification , aluminium undercarriage from a wot4 foame , cut in half and fixed into the wheel wells,with wooden mounting blocks. and a piece of painted coving for a battery box cover, after the original went floating off over the golf course never to be seen again. this was a scary flight the wind was strange ,one minute none at all then a fierce headwind ,as soon as i rolled the plane out this turned to a crosswind .the second flight was even worse , i aborted a landing because she was drifting towards a goal post, and with the 12/6 prop i just didn't have the power to climb out above the trees ,the throttle was maxed out the whole flight. the plane was wallowing about like a sick duck,i lost it behind the trees ,fearing the worst until i saw the nose darting between the trees and i was able to pilot her back to my side of the field for a landing , i aged about ten years  youtu.be/jkSBU08YQHg |

Hello Ed ,yeah it was tense for a few seconds ,i was on the verge of cutting power and letting it float in, i should have done in all honesty,but then it appeared ,i had two nice flights with it in the morning no trouble ,apart from it being camera shy,so i thought id give it another try in the afternoon, but the wind was weird hard to make out. but the undercarriage worked ,and the airframe is a diamond,its just when i needed that punch of climb out ,it was not there ,so i think its time to stop messing about and order four more three blades,two for the 190 and two for the Hurricane , its strange that the motor is really only happy with that prop, or perhaps the plane is under powered and needs the three blade stump puller to get the job done. i mean if id had the power i would have just climbed above the trees and been safe. i am just trying to get as much flying in as i can with the weather.chris

still to windy here to fly anything
wish these crazy winds would stop
either that or I am going to have to break out the
search lights and fly at night...
and even then the winds have been blowing pretty hard at times
been so long since i have flown, it will be like learning all over again..lol
