Those Heli pilots are amazing....I fly one but no tricks just simple pattern...I can get pretty fast sometimes but really not my thing, I like the planes better

The fella that was flying started off with an eflight 130,i have got a vid of it ,he quickly progressed to bigger hellis, which became a bit dodgy at the field with all the dog walkers.at least it seemed dodgy at the time.now we have quads on fpv, whizzing by at god knows what speed.now i am the only flyer at the field.i have a question concerning the cams on planes,i have been a bit dissatisfied with the playback, its ok if you are up high above the trees, you can make big lazy turns, but come down nearer the deck when you have to turn tighter ,and the footage becomes manic, but when you replay from the headcam, the turns look a lot milder.my usual cam position is with the mount fixed to the bottom of the battery box door on the cub for instance. would it make for a clearer vid if the cam was pointed straight at the ground,or have i got to curb the enthusiasm and just turn a lot slower also thanks for the comments appreciated

I use a D lens Key Cam ( very light cam and wider angle lens ) I normally film from my Larger sportsman plane , I have had it mounted in mutiple positions from underneath the top and the wings etc... always seems to be a better view from the bottom and at a slight down facing angle The Sportsman came with a camera angled mount meant for the top of the wing. I have turned it around where the angle is facing down and I mount it with velcro on the bottom. here is a picture of the mount I use for the bottom and the top, all it takes is turning it around You have seen some of my vids, I think the clearest views are from the wing as the Sportsman tricycle gear gets in the way sometimes Also seems to be a smoother picture from the wing mounts and it is just the key cam ( which has velcro mounted on it ) and then attached to other velcro mounted to the wings . I use Industrial strength velcro, it sticks better and longer Cam mounted on wing video www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQOEbLhx01kCam mounted underneath Sportsman view video www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQOEbLhx01kJust for reference

Thanks again for the quick reply,i shall put the info into practice, when you put the cam on the wing,do you have to add opposing weight on the other wing for balance,or is the cam too light to worry about .just watched your looking towards the horizon, yep your right ,that is just the effect,i am after and the music was very, very soothing, just what you want after a long cool woman in a black dress, needed to bring the heart rate down all the best chris

No I do not need counter weight with the key cam....I do use a T-Pin and stick through the hole in the back of the key cam where the key ring use to be and push it into the velcro and the foam wing , just in case it would try and come loose ( safety thing / piece of mind for me ).
yeah I like that wing view , I have velcro in 3 different positions on each wing, from next to the fuselage out to the wing tip area.
