Hello I got my super cub the other daybut as I have not flown a plane before I got a hobbyzone firebird XL to practice with first . I took it out for my first flight today took of ok got up to about 60 foot then it started to turn but I could not get it to straighten up it flew round in a circle a few more times then noes dived into the ground.luckily there was no damage apart from the bent landing gear.I dont know why this happened all the controls are working and are level the only thing I can think it may be is the wing angels up at each end but the angle is not the same on each side could this have been the cause any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Check your trim on the v tail, it sounds like they may be out of adjustment.Add a little more lift on the side of the direction it was turning in. I also started with a HZ pod and boom plane. The thing I found hard when I started flying my cub is your firebird requires a lot of throw on the controls and the cub needs very little. My first flights / crashes on the cub weren't very pretty until I learned finesse on the control sticks so keep that in mind when you get the courage to try your cub.

I think the SC will be much easier to fly. I have a V tail plane, an Aerobird Swift and it is very prone to the wing stalling you described, or Death Dives as I call them.
The trick on the V tail types is to go fast in the turns. It took me a long time to learn that. Every time I would turn at a slow speed my Swift would dive staright into the ground.
The SC doesn't have the wing stall problem, it is much easier and I think more relaxing to fly.

It sounds like your ACT (Anti Crash Technology) was on. That is if that specific plane has ACT I do not know if it does.Cheers
