Hi I have a cub I am trying to learn to fly.. only had it 3 years taken it out er... 3 times !! So I am trying to sort that.. I have looked about the net and there is not much about and then I saw this forum page.. Is it live or is it dead as a lot of posts are 2012 and then end at 2013? but I can see some folk on here post more in this section.. so hello!! from the UK.. already reading up I can see I can't get much more power from my Cub unless I start going for a full rebuild of ESC motor and servo's !! gulp there goes the budget.. so I will see but if I have to go too far that way then I am selling up and going for a Discovery Plane eg the next level up.. But I took it out for a flight yesterday ( No 3 ) and only short but I managed 7 mins or so with out crashing...!!! a close call at one stage but still held it!!!! more power!!! more power!!! I am a very slow flyer.. so this is perfect for my ability and need.. i would post a pic but I will have to work that out.. as photobucket has turned all useless these days! Yeah!! I have worked out how to do pictures!!! so here she is.. and my other love Wooden RC boats one I have just built!!

Hello from across the Pond
Yes it is alive and well
Not as many post as they use to, however there are a few of us still about and there is a ton of information across the forum to learn about everything you need to know to keep the Cub in the air and on a budget.
I do not visit as much as i have been ill, but recovering slowly and i have posted some recently
and have been going about with supercub1 on a few posts
Was working on a Brushless Super Cub build when illness got me down so it has been on hold for awhile now
All it really needs is the ailerons and flaps cut in the wings and servo's added and then plugged up and painted to match the fuselage, just a few odds and ends afterwards and hopefully by the spring it will get done and be in the air .

Hello again surfer,if you are starting out by yourself ,as most of us did,you might benefit from a similator, i think most would have a cub of some sort, also flying in uk ,i think the bmfa insurance is a good idea.you can get it for £33 i believe.thats what i have done,it gives you peace of mind in the case of an accident.also it shows that you are a more responsible flyer, and hopefully seperates us from the irresponsible "drone bandits".i was dilivering to a building site behind battersea power station, when i saw a drone overhead ,a big one with a suspicious lump underneath it ,hovering about looked about near wandsworth prison ,anyway we sometimes get some settled weather before xmas so get the cubby up and have some fun, they are good with lights and floats . supercub1
