I just hope i dont disgrace myself ,and release a torrent of "pent up frustration anxiety and anglo saxonism" if it gets realy bad i shall have to give a battle cry of "Supercub" . glad to hear you are making some progress towards getting better .are you still getting the megger cold weather out there ,i saw on the news the icicles in New York ,i can imagine someone shopping in the sales, and getting impaled by the " sword of Damocles "coming from above last minute savings or what i think i may be going over to the dark side, with playing with the indoor helis and quads, as you know i dont like drones, but i was looking at a review by the" Rc Saylers" of the xkx300, fpv quadcopter ,around £100 or there abouts, this interested me as the thing has a 2000 mah 2 cell, which allows a run time of fifteen minutes ,comes with an fpv monitor, and the fpv range was relaly good so the battery on the monitor lasted with the flight time of the copter. the thing that made me laugh was the "ACT" altitude hold on it .obviously at this price it has brushed motors probably why it runs so long, and it dosent have gps or return to home, but for an inexpensive learning dip into fpv ,i might be tempted, also the rc saylers are a great couple Abby even comes from West Virginia all the best Chris www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbrCsMoxXyU

Ah thank you peter,i just want it all over with. if you get the chance take a look at the xkx300 fpv vid i posted above. i know its not a Dji ,i watched your drone video from a while back and was impressed , shooting the quad between the trees and twiglets, the xkx uses what looks like an act system ,we know what thats all about from the early supercub ,anyway when i get back to work and generate some folding, i might invest in one all the best Chris

Interesting video I must say...I have a few Quads ( not really my thing) most are components to make them I have two complete quads one is a 200 QX and the other is a Viper complete quad I got from Antonio that use to work for Nitro Planes Not something I fly very well...have not had a lot of practice the 200 QX has SAFE system the other one has to be programmed and there is where one problem lies, can not get it programmed right . had to program my Rx and while doing that had to have done something wrong as all it will do is flip over and over every time you try to get off the ground .Has to do with the flight board , I suspect the direction needs programmed, but was so frustrated with it, have never tried since . That's been a couple years ago . I also own a X 2 Coaxial Helicopter, it is a discontinued Heli but it flies real well and can take a beating have crashed it wide open into the ground and it still flies . can be flown in some high winds as well which makes it great for around here . But being a plane guy, that is what i enjoy most . here are some pics just so you can see what i am talking about .

I must admit the cx2 looks nice, i think the reason i have been looking at quadcopters recently is a confidence thing ,i walk to the football field ,about 15mins away so by the time i get there i am starting to go down, and of course there is stress involved in takeoff and landing , i cant enjoy what i am doing because i am worried. now with the quads, you press a button and it takes off by itself you press another button and it lands itself.not like trying to fight a bit of wind and remembering to deploy the retracts whilst lining up the wings on the fw190 for a greaser landing .still this is a big hobby and there is no right or wrong way to do it , the warbirds and my other battered beauties will all get their chance again eventually , think i just have cabin fever at the moment. chris

I have a DJI Mavic. Although it is a great bit of kit it comes nowhere near the enjoyment I get from flying a plane.

Yeah but for the price its tempting ,also i think its partly a confidence thing with me the last time i flew was early november, at the moment i will have to start back with the supercub ,and build back up again, not a bad thing in a way, when i get back to it i will be able t o aquatint myself with my planes all over again stops things getting stale.talking of confidence, i had a visit from a friend from work ,first time i had seen him in six months, apparently he has been off work 4months himself,i didnt even know.he told me that the firm has got hold of a dirty great 44ft trailer. i drive for a scaffold firm ,so you can work out how overloaded that will turn out.piloting something like that around London can get stressful ,what with the cyclists ,taxis ruddy buses, and the like. so i have a bit of a mountain to climb when i get back. sorry for the long post i got a bit sidetracked. all the best Chris

Things went quite well today at hospital, the doctors cant cure me, but with changes to diet, and taking in industrial amounts of water and salt in my diet, i should be able to manage the condition. the specialist said people with" vasovagal syncope" can even go back to hgv driving eventually, so i am feeling a bit better about that. mind you i have been stuck in the house for so long i will have to take things slow at first ,and build myself back up to fitness, no point rushing things and ending up sick again. so perhaps flying isnt so far off WAHAY ,now its your turn ED, all the best Chris
