Hello everyone. Good to be a part of this wonderfully informative and diverse Forum. I'm new to flying and looking forward to my first success. I bought my SC last summer, but never tried it out. This year I finally said, heck with it and gave it a shot. I've logged lots of pixel hours on the SIM and seemed to have a good grasp. Alas, the digital plane was perfect where as the real one maybe not so much. Fortunately, the purchase included a bag of goodies enough to rebuild the entire plane, minus electronics. My actual time in air would have made the Wright Bros. giggle. I can only assume there was more damage to the plane than I could see from my inspection. On the bright side, I am applying many of the mods and suggestions I've read here. She will at least be gorgeous next time I crash it!!

Crashing is just part of the hobby...the day will come when crashes are fewer and further apart
but someone said "All these planes have an expiration date, we just can't see it "
I think at some point that will be true.
Put it all together, Go Fly and enjoy, but have plenty of Glue and tape on hand, Good Luck

Probably the plane was fine, the pilot.....not so much.
Learning to fly with a SIM is not useless but is akin to trying to learn to drive a car using a computer. It is simply not the same.

Probably the plane was fine, the pilot.....not so much. Learning to fly with a SIM is not useless but is akin to trying to learn to drive a car using a computer. It is simply not the same. The plane was glued behind the cockpit and in front of the rear gear. Exactly where it broke this time. I bought an SC LP on Craigslist the next night and flew it flawlessly, just like on the SIM. So although your unqualified remark MAY have held water, in this particular case you missed the mark completely. The Pilot is fine.
