Hi my name is Mal and I live in the sunny north of the north Island New Zealand. I am a newbie and own a hobbyzone super cub s model plane. I was getting sick of crashing on landing and difficulty taking off also due to the wheels being too small on grass, so I have just purchased Du Bro 2 1/2" super lite wheels for the main wheels and a 1 1/2" tailwheel. The axle diameter on the new wheels are larger than my super cub s landing gear wire, so was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to adapt my new wheels to fit the smaller exsisting landing gear axle - any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated Thanks Mal

Welcome Aboard Mal! I know exactly what you are talking about with the wheel upgrade. I had to do the same thing with our Supercubs. I found some nylon tubing that was ever so slightly larger than the ID of the Du-bro's I put on my cub. The wheel had to be reamed out and so did the ID of the tubing to fit the stock axle. Greased them both and assembled the new wheels.
For the life of me I can't recall the brand name or the size of the stuff. But I will pass that on to you when I get home from work next Wednesday.
