Now I have a DX9, black edition no less, (man, what a sweet radio) I figured I'd use the wireless training feature to teach my 9 year old son using the Supercub and the old DX6i. Unfortunately, the EU has decided that no new radios can have DSM2 - so the stock receiver in the cub won't work with the DSMX only DX9.
Out with the soldering iron, and the old bird now has an OrangeRX and Turnigy 30A brushed ESC with the stock motor The DX9 is bound to it and the 6i bound to the DX9 as its slave.
What a nice and simple way to do it, hand over control with the flip of a switch and grab it back just by moving the stick.
Had to do a little strengthening around the bars that the elastic holds the wing on with... So many flights have reduced the foams strength a little.
But she's ready to go again when the wind dies down.
