Hey, and an early Merry Christmas to you and to all.
I'm still here and checking the site most days - I don't have much to contribute because I've not been able to fly. We've had the stormiest Autumn in living memory here in the UK, and if its not windy then its just been too wet to subject the electrics to a grass landing.
Hopefully the weather will get colder so the grass stays dry - and this constant wind will go away.
The only thing RC I've been doing is cars with my son, and checking my batteries every now and again.

Hi!, Merry Christmas to you as well!, I've been checking the site every couple of days, and as sham said the weather hasn't been good in the UK!. However, I did have 1mph wind today, but sadly the visibility was too poor to go and fly. I'm eager to maiden my new Walrus! Although I have been out and messing about with a cheap quad from ebay to pass the time when the weather hasn't been clear enough for flying high

I'm a newbie but Merry Christmas, I can't wait for Christmas. I am working in Texas and going for the holidays, my wife bought me a super cub s! I can't wait to fly it. I 've been practicing on my simulator, and a little time with my sport cub, I've browsing all the useful information in here, wow what alot of ideas.

Merry Christmas! I still check the site when I can. Been working a different schedule than normal due to my relief and his wife having a baby. As for flying? Ha! since October 30th to this morning, we've gotten 19.5 inches of rain. And all of it comes on my time off when I'm home. Hadn't had a chance to get to the field when weather is good.
Welcome nwpacub! where are you working in Texas?

Wherever I can. I fly at a private field outside of Edgewood mostly. We have a camp and go on whatever weekends I'm off and when the weather cooperates. Which it hasn't lately on my time off.

Merry Christmas to all! This forum is truly a huge data base and a wonderful tool for newbies like myself. I very much appreciate reading and learning from the experiences of others, good and bad. I have gained so much knowledge from reviewing the various topics. It seems that every question about the Super Cub I think of has been asked and answered. I am very greatful to those individuals that take the time to write and teach. Thanks, Scott

Thanks Crazyhorse. I live in the Midwest, so flying time this time of year is sporadic, at best. Honestly, I don't feel the need to stand in the cold to fly. I hope to be more active though when Spring rolls around. I have spent some time this winter completing some mods to the Super Cub. It is fun to be able to at least work on the plane in the "off-season".
Happy New Year's to all! Scott
