okay, I have seen some brushless setups on this forum. My question is, should I go brushless on my SC. How much of a pita will it cost me, as the guy at the LHS told me to just upgrade to another plane in which is brushless. I'm a retailer myself, and understand that he might just be trying to sell more product, or he just might as well be trying to steer me in the right direction. Thanks. Oh yeh, and my budget is kinda tight as I am in the second year of expanding a business, which is pretty normal.

you can go the cheap rout on ebay, but do your research first. brushless will give ya some more power and are a bit more efficient. the hardest part is fabing up the mount, which i see alot of people using the gear box for a base to keep the thrust angle and what not, this is what im gonna do when i switch. you could buy another plane, but moding and making improvements to the cub is fun too, just depends on what you want out of it.

You realize to go brushless yo have to replace ALL the electrics? Yep, everything. Including the TX-the most expensive part. Once you accept that the cheapest part is the foam called the Cub. It's not a simple upgrade, it's a major renovation. Keep it as it is or get something entirely new to go with all those new electrics.
That said if you use the forums, do your research, buy decent stuff cheaply and second hand, it can be "almost" reasonable to upgrade.

or be a guinea pig and try the ezesc for us. then you don't have to change out anything. not really sure what kind of current it will handle though, could be a problem.

naaah, think I will keep the SC as my slow flyer and start flying my little bro's hobbico superstar 40 that I built about 5 yrs ago and never flew due to the fact that I knew we'd smash it right away. I think I'll be ready for it in a month or so. Just wanna find that training software that came with it.
