Help with Phoenix simulator please!

A friend gave me the Phoenix simulator and I have a dx4e controller, problem is he lost the cord to plug into the computer from the controller and I can't seem to find what cord I need to buy. Does anyone know where I can get this or what cord it is??

Unfortunately, the dx4e uses the USB interface included with the original DVD for phoenix. This is also the license, and I think you have to buy the entire DVD and cable to get a replacement. I can't find one separately on the official websites anyway.

I found a way! www.helibuy.com/simulator-cable-for-phoenix-rc-g4-aerofly-reflex-xtr-p-342.html I'll get it ordered and let you know if it works. It sucks they don't offer replacement cords for customers that bought their product! My friend bought his from the local hobby store here in town. I understand why they do it, piracy screws the innocent!

To be fair to them they offer a very cheap repair service but you have to have the original. Good luck?

Very true, if it doesn't I'll just break down and buy the package without the controller as I already have the dx4. He wasn't using it and gave it to me so thought I'd save some $$.

I haven't yet, I ended up finding a phantom ultralight for sale so I haven't messed with this stuff for a while
