I had a control horn that broke in shipping and a loose motor from the mount, but otherwise it was in good shape. Normally it takes a few hours to build this plane, but I am taking my time and enjoying playing with it as I go. Trying out some mods I want and also doing a bit of painting along the way. Lots of Chinglish included in the manual, but probably not as much as I have seen in various camera owner's manuals in the past. Learning as I go in completing the thing and I expect it to be a nice buddy for my other Super Cubs and Bixler models. This thing is big to me, but I believe I'll enjoy it. Supposedly lands and takes off great from grass or water. If it loads, here is my flickr photo album where I'll post my successes and my failures for this build. www.flickr.com/photos/a1930ford/sets/72157650303561332/I'm glad I have my old Nissan van as my official RC plane hauler. This boogie is really big when assembled. :-)

Looks good. I often wish I had some Floats for my cubs... but then I think I'd turn it into a submarine..

Check back frequently, as this flicker file is updated virtually daily with more pics as the build continues.
I won't know the flight characteristics of this pBY vs the SC with floats until we get some real water down our way. Supposed to rain this weekend and we sure need it. Just had a week of 70ish weather that I had to bundle up for. :-) Supposed to drop back down to the mid 50's this weekend though. Brrrr. :-)
I enjoy my SC with floats more than without them. Can't wait to see how this boogie flys on a pond.

You've made more progress with yours than I have with mine - although I hope to catch up soon. Looking good!

Has this plane seen the sky yet? Unfortunately, Coupe hasn't been seen since April.
