Well I recieved the bulk of the motors I intended on testing. I purchased a bunch of Brushless motors and esc's to test out to find you's the most power for the buck! So far I have tested 3 motors and 2 esc's.
Motor 1- Turborix CF2822 Tested with a 10x7 APC prop 19.37 amps peak 196 watts peak Costs 12.00 on ebay
Motor 2- EMAX CF2812 Info in a few......misplaced the last 2 sheets Costs 10.00 on ebay
Motor 3- BM2408-21 Costs 11.00 on ebay
ESC 1- Tower Pro 20A Not a bad investment for the 18.00 I paid for it on ebay. Lacks in the proportional field. It is an all around good esc so far. Never had a heating problem bench testing it.
ESC 2- Tower Pro 30A Seemed to be a little more proportional then the 20A No heating issues Paid 22.00 for it on ebay
Will post the rest when I get to it. Kevin

Well here is a pic of the motor mount I made for it using a piece of ply and the stock motor mount cut down, 12 revo shock pistons and some long screws. I mounted the Turborix CF2822 to it and hope to maiden it this week. This is the fuse I made with the bomb door you may have seen on here somewhere. It also has the eflite mini pulse landing gear and 2 1/2 inch dubro tires (not in pic but going on right now). I have made my aileron wing capable of flaperons with my radio. I also turned on the airbrake feature and set it up for it. I want to see just how slow I can fly this one. I may or may not use the bombay door for the maiden. I have yet to balance it but I will keep you's posted on the outcome and progress. Kevin

Holy crap....sorry guy's/gals. I am so sorry. I totally forgot about this thread. The turborix is a great cheap option for the SC. My friend Kirk uses the 2 I gave him on his daily and loves them. They run very cool and have plenty of power for vertical flight. I only tested it for 4 flights and put the next one on. I got all of them on ebay for under 15.00 a piece. Every one fo them tested worked out great but I had to go back to my eflite park 450 outrunner. I love this motor and will always use it.
Both the esc's tested worked flawlessly. They were tough to program at first but I got the hang of it. They are definatley worth the money.

Hey - thanks a mill for the response! Any idea how that motor would do with a stock 7Cell NiMH battery? Less performance than the factory motor? less flight time?

I used a 10x7 prop for my tests on these motors. I once again forgot about this thread. I have built too many planes in the last 10 months. I got the bug once I got the SC and it shows down here. I use 3s lipo's in all my cubs. They seem to be the best all around for me.
