Just wanted to see if anyone has some suggestions... I have a Super Cub with a dead motor which I have torn off along with the plastic mount for it. I also have a ton of spare Flyzone Beaver parts kicking around. Any ideas on how to mount a beaver motor onto this plane (I know, probably way too much power for this plane, gotta do something with these parts though!). I have tried to find someway to do this but am not very good when it comes to engineering how to put this motor on here. I am also sadly trying to find someway to mount it to the front end which a) doesn't have the plastic mount (which doesn't fit the Beaver motor anyways) and b) is partially covered in gorilla glue (this was an early plane where I thought gorilla glue was my friend - used it in copious amounts). Thanks for any advice! ALSO: just a link for anyone who doesn't have it - it will show the latest threads/updates. (hopefully someone out there will find it useful...) supercubclub.proboards.com/threads/recent

I have no working knowledge of the Beaver, but you may do better in asking at the actual flyzone site for familiarity sake alone. If there are forums on it, that may be your best bet to seek out the speicific info. RC Groups or Watts forums may have something on the Beaver, but I am not for sure. Many folk make their engine mounts out of balsa wood. I am not experienced in cutting balsa, but it may be your better option as a motor mount that is adaptable for the SC. I like the use of plastic kitchen cutting boards, too. They come in different shapes and the plastic is generally strong and easy enough to work with in shaping. Take an old SC firewall and see what shape you would need to make one of balsa, thin plywood or plastic. Good luck on it. Looks like a fun plane though, but I am not familiar in the least with it, myself. MotionRC may be helpful at their forum regarding the Beaver. I don't know if they have a direct answer to your question there, but at least you could ask and perhaps communicate with some of the Beaver owner's there. Not sure if the Nitroplanes forum discusses anything related to the beaver. www.hobbysquawk.com/search.php?action=results&sid=0fe764cf087ec51c6736e36cf48c123f&sortby=&order=desc

Thanks for the reply! I've really enojoyed flying the beaver! Its got a good amount of power, has both landing gear/floats included, and cannot be destroyed.
