I started on the main wing last night, preliminary stuff like glueing the servo mountings. The plan was to do more this evening and then complete it tomorrow. But... I went roller skating with my kids today and took a tumble during the adults hockey game. First time on skates for 25 years and I did pretty well except for the one fall. But the one fall resulted in a sprained wrist, which means no more building until it heals. Good job I'm not in a rush, isn't it? We did win the hockey though

We did win the hockey though That's the spirit! There will be more time for the plane as your wrist heals.

What with the wrist still preventing anything even slightly intricate, I decided to do what I could with the time and movement available.
So, I fitted the ESC and motor.

How's the wrist coming along? OK I think. I'm sure someone said he was going blind.

I have been looking for one of those to make the "v" tail version. They look like a great kit.

No luck getting any time this week. Dammed family expecting me to spend time with them *shrug*.
No, seriously, a frustrating week of itching to get some work done on the plane and everytime I set some time aside something getting in the way. Boo!
I still have time before flying weather resumes on this wind tunnel we call East Anglia.

Finally a little progress - had to stop after an hour or so building because the wrist just wasn't having any more, but I did finish the aileron servos and install the radio gear. All tested and working great so far... Next, flaps.

It's getting there.....a kit is nice most is done already. You say that, but there is so much to do. Its my first wood model, and my first ARF of any kind. Theres a great deal more cutting, drilling and bending to do than I thought. About 3 hours have gone into the main wing so far, and that doesn't include glue setting time of course. Even the control rods have to be cut and bent to shape. I'm sure those that have assembled kits before would expect this, but I expected all the parts to fit and not need too much in the way of making things. I may remake some linkages as, though they're secure and work fine, its not as neat as I would like.
Its nice building it, I'm enjoying it - but theres a great deal more building than assembling... still, it will mean I'm more invested in the plane when its finished and finally ready to fly. The thought of flying it brings a lump to my throat, I really hope I don't crash it!!
