The capacitor reduces motor caused electrical interference. It also decreases brush arching and increases life. Take a look with a magnifying glass and good light through the vent holes near the brushes. Sometimes they are placed inside. I have a Permax 400 that is that way-thought I was going to have to find some and solder them on.

Finally got to try out the replacement motor. Is the same motor as the stock one, but noticed a lot more torque roll from the new motor. Not sure why the difference, as the " old " motor only had five or six short flights before the capacitors got smashed, I can't say wear or age is a factor.

Think I figured it out! Had a weak spotin the wing..right side! My thinking is that the right side was getting extra lift due to excessive flexing. Have taped it..will check it out when the wind drops.

This will not harm anything, just unplug the motor and unscrew the four firewall screws. The only thing that different is the shorter wires on the PZ motor. Be aware that the PZ motor may have a plastic pinion that can strip out. The stock SC comes with a metal one but, Parkzone is still changing the PZ 480's over to the metal pinions before shipping.
