My son filmed this from the ground using my phone - so not the best. The quality is fine, and you do see the important bits - the commentary and camera work are less fine
The take off.. yes. Erm - I'm guessing something caught a bump, possibly the parachutist slung beneath, to throw it off like that. Just glad to hold it under control. All else about the 6 flights this afternoon was just lovely - a great mornings entertainment, and I can almost feel my feet again now!

Nice flight and Para' drop sham, did the cub land ok? T'was a bit too windy this way. My plane now all ready for a flight, sometime this week hopefully? Weather not too promising at the moment.

Everything was fine with all the flights, including landings. It was just that one take off where it was a bit hairy. A shame you didn't get to fly, but better safe than sorry.

Nice one sham and your son has nice steady hands on the phone. Had a great day today myself too, flying Sport Cub and Bixler 2, went through half a dozen batteries and recharged two of them. Every landing just about perfect. Flying field was busy and at times it looked like the Battle of Britain up there. lol

I'd already done a couple of drops from much lower height to judge the wind... And that's not high Sometimes high, sometimes low, sometimes a mixture in the same flight. Depends on weather/mood. Such a clear day, was a shame not to use all that blue canvas.

Probably the video...but I could barely see the plane...why I said "high".....If i can't make out the plane at that altitude, to me, it's to high. lol

The intended joke didn't come across in my post, I see...
It was actually fairly high. 150ft at a guess, though I often fly far higher - especially if a camera is on board, it wasn't in this case. I do like flying up high.
I enjoy low flying too, but it isn't often I can do more than a low pass before climbing again, there are trees and buildings around most flying sites I use - too risky. On the open farmland I can fly low and have fun that way, but its simply too muddy and churned up at this time of year.
Height is safer, so I fly above 100ft more often than not.

Nice sham! That's a really neat set-up you got there. How did you embed the video into the post?

It doesn't work from the mobile interface for the forum, but on a PC there is a video button when you compose your post. That brings up a window for you to put your you tube(or similar) link in. That's it.
