First, although I had the opportunity given to me about a year or more back to use a flight simulator at HobbyTown, I don't recall which program it was and I was not looking to purchase one at the time. I am totally unfamiliar with what all is necessary to make the complete package for such on my computer. The Phoenix seems to be a decent simulator, so I was recently thinking that it may be fun to spend some mad money and purchase one for myself. I have a very old Dell computer that has not been upgraded from the Vista service pack 2.
Second, I am not for sure if the Phoenix program works with the Spektrum DX4e that came with my Super Cub. If so, does it plug in with an adaptor to the female trainer plug in the back of the transmitter box? Do I have to get another box in order to use this program on my computer? Most programs I see come with an adaptor plug for the computer, but I was not sure if this adapted to the stock Spektrum box I have.
I am a complete novice in what to ask about the use of this program, as it was already set up at HobbyTown, and the salesman was more intent in playing with it instead of trying to sell me the SC products I really came there to buy. I felt totally uncomfortable when he gave me the box and said to try flying it at that time.
Any rate, excuse the lack of knowledge on this topic, but I really never seriously considered purchasing one in the past and the info I am now asking does not seem to be covered in some of the sales areas for this particular program. I do remember that he had the ap or whatever to simulate the Super Cub in particular and that the Safe program was not instelled in the craft at that time. I don't recall of his simulated SC had the ACT on it or not, as it has been too long ago since I played on that program.
Thanks for any input.
