It has been a while since I went to the HobbyKing site, so things may have changed since I was last there to purchase or inquire about any products sold there. Since I need to replace my Turnigy Accucell 6 balance charger, I thought I'd browse there to see what they wanted as a purchase price, including shipping. However, I don't seem to be able to locate on their main site, the method to link to their USA warehouse. Since I am in the USA, that is much cheaper than the other area for ordering from.
I don't seem to find any link on the main site to transfer to their USA warehouse as they used to have posted there. When I go online searching, I can find links, but they all just lead back to the home universal warehouse and not to the USA warehouse. What is the method to link to the USA warehouse or did they shut that area down for some reason. Like say, used to it was easy to link there, but something seems different at their site, now.
Did they close the USA warehouse or am I just missing something in how to link to it? I am not necessarily looking to purchase from them, but just wanted to browse their pricing, as opposed to other sites I have looked at for possible ordering.
Thanks for any help in the matter.

Coupe,
At the top of the left column, above the categories, you may see a box that says global warehouse. Click on it, it should give you the option to select the global warehouse or one of the USA warehouses. On the right side column, below the daily video and lipo/motor/servo finder, you can select the warehouse of you choice also. Hope it helps.
They may replace or repair the charger if its less than a year since purchase too.

Thanks. I finally got the home area to link me to the USA warehouse. I appreciate the help. Hoping to order one tomorrow, but not sure if this site is the cheapest site to order from or not. Shipping may be the problem there, as other sites sometimes offer free shipping. I am hoping to check out the wiring and such to see if that may be the real culprit in the demise of my unit. Again, thanks.

Hoping to order one tomorrow, but not sure if this site is the cheapest site to order from or not. You can look around but the AC-6 is not widely available anywhere near that price.

HobbyZone sells them on ebay for less than what they charge for the unit and shipping to down here in Texas. However, when I tried to purchase on that was still being bid upon, even with the Buy Now option, I found that listed it as out of stock. Why would you put such on ebay if your owt of stock with it to begin with? I have had the same thing happen at their store though, so I guess it should not suprise me at them doing this. I guess there is no way to know in advance if the units being sold are cheapie China copies without actually seeing the unit, first.
Decided to pick up a new unit and also a new power cord. I'll plug the new power cord into the old charger first to see if that was the initial issue to begin with. I'll also plug in the new leads to the old unit to see what they may do. This was not as bad a setback in price as I had thought it would be, but certainly an unexpected event with the charger. Wish I was more of an electonics guru or electrician to find out what the initial problem was, but the expertise in those areas is just about nil. I am also wondering if the battery itself may have caused the issue? I did everything in charging as I have always done though, so I am not so sure as this being any cause.
Oh, well another Christmas present for myself it seems. :-)

Your diagnostic idea seems good. Do you have one of those little 'chicklet' voltage field testers for the balance port? Sticking it in should show if there is a short. If not I can tell you how to get individual readings with a DVM.

If your addressing the statement I made about china copies, it is listed in several of the ebay sellers statements in describing their products. I am not sure how to link that other than to copy just one of their statements as I did below. I have one of the voltage testers, but unsure at to where it is located at present, as we are still unpacking boxes from our latest move and I have not come across that item just yet. If your addressing the fact that HobbyKing sells, I am not sure how to link that, as it happens when I try to pay with PayPal and then the site says they are out of stock and won't let the transaction happen.
This is repeated by various sellers at ebay.
ATTENTION. There are several chargers now entering the China market that look similar to the Accucel. These chargers are produced with cheaper FET's and are unfortunately much less accurate and very unsafe. There has been reports of the copied chargers over-charging packs and not balancing correctly. The Accucel-6 is the first charger in the market with this PCB layout Circuit design. Any charger with the same circuit diagram is most definitely a copy. We have tested the copied chargers ourselves, their componentry is of a very low quality and the manufacturing company that has produced the copy has used a process of duplicating our CPU(MCU)'s hex file and flashed a similar chip(MCU) to produce a similar product. This means they do not have the original code and therefore cannot bug-test(QC) or update the charger at any point. Our chargers have CE and RoHS certification, proving their safety. Plus, thousands of customers the world over have used our chargers with excellent results. Your batteries are expensive. We understand this and thats why we will not carry low-quality charging devices. Trust only in TURNIGY® quality charging devices.
IN my other post you responded to, I made an error in saying HobbyZone instead of HobbyKing. I use both so often that I apparently mistakenly said HobbyZone and not the correct HobbyKing. Sorry for that goof in my previous post. :-(

Just find it on the HK site, copy the URL from the browser, and paste it, like so (from the Accucel-6 on the HK China site: www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__7028__Turnigy_Accucel_6_50W_6A_Balancer_Charger_w_Accessories.html?strSearch=accucelYes, they've been making that statement about quality of the AC-6 for YEARS. OK, definitions, important in this subject: > There is ONLY one ORIGINAL, the Bantam B6. There are at least a dozen clones, including the AC-6. They vary in price and quality of components and assembly. The most popular is the IMAX B6, probably because it's cheap and more widely available. Genuine one: www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__5548__IMAX_B6_50W_5A_Charger_Discharger_1_6_Cells_GENUINE_.html?strSearch=imax%20b6They ALL use pretty much the same software, look similar, and function similar. Don't mix up the terms "clone" and "fake". Most people do when used in this context and it gets all confused. About a year+ a "fake/copy/counterfeit" of the IMAX B6 came out. It has a history of problems. Most people buying them are ignorant of the issue and don't even know they have a fake until it does something noticeably bad. Most folks have no ability to even check the functioning of their chargers. Fake: www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__15379__IMAX_B6_Charger_Discharger_1_6_Cells_COPY_.html?strSearch=IMAX%20B6Yep, HK sells the fake too, and they sell a bunch of other clones like the ECO 6. Brilliant marketing eh? You want crap, they have it too. If you bought one from eBay, it's probably a fake. Even Amazon was selling them for awhile, may still be for all I know. But at least Amazon would take them back. Near as I can tell the AC-6 provides the best function and reliability for the money. A real IMAX B6 might be fine but why risk it when you can get a better product for a couple more dollars. That's a personal choice and different from being duped by the 'fake'. If you want to jump up in reliability and accuracy you look at the iCharger line, also clones but better made with some support. This unit is also a much more powerful unit at 4x the cost, somewhat justifying the cost difference. www.progressiverc.com/icharger-206b.htmlHow to tell if you have a fake IMAX B6: www.skyrc.com/antifake/indexen.phpwww.youtube.com/watch?v=kziSFSQvxr4www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4rLqimLKdY
