Whoops... That's a bad day, for sure!
Did you replace the plane, or move on to something else?

Back in the late 70's I flew a gas powered chopper with my kids. We flew at a local elementary school playground. The thing frequently flew away from our sight and we chased it multiple times, only to find it on a roof top or such. I had modified the small gas tank and the time in the air was quite a bit longer then. Every now and again we could not find it at all, no matter how we searched through the neighborhood. The kids were always upset over losing it. A few days later someone always came knocking on our door to return the wayward chopper. Seems like they always had seen us at that school flying the little craft with delight. It is not so much that the same thing may happen to you with a nice neighbor, but never lose hope, as the unexpected may happen. I now tape in a business card with my name, phone number and address just in case. Even with that, someone may keep it if they find it, but at least it is a slight hope that someone may do the right thing if it does get found by them. People are amazing and many are indeed the salt of the earth in doing the right thing when nothing at all is expected of them. Good luck with a possible find. It would be nice to have a similar thing as a baby monitor that put out a beeping noise if lost. Sort of like a lojack system for retrieval. I would think that a buzzer would be easy enough to adapt to put out a constant buzz that may help if the plane got lost, but was within hearing if you walked past it on a search.

Sorry about kenninny I really do know how you feel, maybe you saw my post a few weeks back when exactly the same thing happened to me. I do intend to get another plane, not sure if it will be another SC but in the meantime I'm enjoying the new Twister Quattro X quadcopter. It's got a 'come home' button on the tx so if goes out of sight or control, flick the switch and it goes up to 45' flies back and lands where it took off. :-)

I didn't replace the cub, although I miss it, I have other planes to fly, that maybe faster, and have more channels but the cub! what can I say! it was the super cub. My newest planes are two corsair one with retracts, and flaps they fly great, I heard people say the corsair is hard to fly, because of the gull wings, but they are easy to fly, fly great, and look good in flight too.

Well I am replacing the SC but with the Super Cub Sport, should get it on Friday and of course the wonderful weather is set to break on Saturday!!!**** I've been told that although it's got ailerons and flaps it's easier to fly than the SC. We'll see.

Is that the same one I bought as my step up? The SportCub.. Our a different model? If so.. "easier" isn't the word I would choose. It's not hard, but it takes more concentration- that's for sure. Just because it handles so nimbly. Welcome back to proper planes
