As soon as the weather is good enough, I'll be out giving it a go.

I'll try and persuade my son to film from the ground as well as have the camera on the plane aimed down and back... Hopefully it will look pretty cool.

The lttle plastic guys drift pretty good even in a light breeze.
Drop him low for the first few passes to better judge the wind-drift
when you go higher.

Not great at the moment, were have the steady winds and dampness that comes with autumn on this coast.

Lovely and warm for the time of year, but no good for flying.

Still no flying.

It has gotten very cold and we even had snow yesterday

Winds today very high NNW at 21-22 mph and gusting over 32.....at least the Sun was shining

Saw a New plane that looks interesting, and already has a set up for a parachute drop
and on a STOL capable plane called a Paradrop

Well - I flew today! It was great, and both planes got some exercise.

Very still, but the ground was very wet which made the grass clingy and the landings trickier than usual - but incident free is all that matters.
My drop "module" got tested and it worked perfectly, twice - the camera on the plane caught the drops both times, but in all honesty - it was hardly worth it... you can see the release and not much else.

The plane handled the load pretty well, but it knew it was carrying a few oz too many.

Next time, I shall get help videoing from the ground at the same time.

But... it works!!!
