oldcaver I see you have shimmed the mount to create the correct angle. What i would like to know is . If you put in a more powerful motor than the stock one do you have to change the angle.

Hey Paul: The original plastic M>M> that is on your cub gives you the correct "down" angle off thrust line of 2 deg. The bass wood firewall you see gives you a substantially better base to attach your stick mount to andgives you the proper extension so your cowl and prop hub are in correct relation .You still MUST shim the motor to the right 2 deg. by shimming the to right stick mount screThe above post is the Milw with 2 small washers, and the lower right screw with 1. This allows everything to line up spot on, and the bird will fly great once trimmed.

How much power does that motor give? Is it a TowerPro 2410? What kind of climb angle can you get?

that motor is way down on power for a SC i run a motor like that on my GWS cub and i often wish it had more in it.
8.4 amps from that motor is efficient 13amps is max i run 15amps through mine and it gets real hot 104 watts max
i would recommend the 2409 18t
for props:
11 x 6.5 for vertical unlimited slow and lots of tq spin 30 mph
10 x 7 to go real fast 50 + mph
10 x 4.7 gets you unlimited vert but you will need 100% throttle to do so and 38 mph
10 x 5 gets you strong power but only 26 oz thrust so it will climb real fast but no vert 46 mph 8 x 4 gets you 20 oz thrust 40 mph and long batt life at only 100 watts usage which is what the op is using
