You don't NEED to mix with water. Moisture makes it 'kick' but there is generally enough moisture in the air to make it do so. I have a fine spray bottle on the bench I'll sometimes spray the 2 surfaces with ....lightly.... As you mix water it foams even more. Depending on what you need this can be a good or a bad thing. Use sparingly, especially at first. when it has just finished foaming but is still soft (10-15") you can knock down excessive foaming with a wet fingernail back, sthingy, etc. Just mash it down and smooth it out.
If you do want to make a 'filler foam' I mix it with white carpenters glue.

That looks like the brown? White is white. Works the same but is ugly on white foam.

It is, I didn't know there was a choice but using it on the Spitfire ok as it's being used on the green section where white might be a bit stark. Good tips all round guys thanks, pretty cool stuff but at nearly ten quid a bottle it should be. I'm not at all happy with Hobbyzone and I'll never buy from them again. Some spares not available at all and the motor I ordered just arrived, a wrong one.

Hobbyzone? Do you mean Hobbyking?
I haven't heard good things about Hobbyking, Hobbyzone seem to have a good reputation though.
Really hope you get it airborne again soon.

Some spares not available at all and the motor I ordered just arrived, a wrong one. Try to keep air out of the bottle. Humidity in the air will make it 'kick' and ruin the bottle. I only buy the small bottle now. Costs more/volume but I waste less in ruined glue. Hobbyking has 2 things going for it; cheap-IF you know what you are buying and they don't screw you on shipping (a new pastime), and breadth of inventory. But-customer service stinks, the published info is often wrong, the info you get from customer reviews generally comes from people that have even less information so is also wrong, they are often out of stock AND if you order something OOS they hold your entire order until it is (often months!), a LOT of their inventory is just plain crap....etc. You have to know what you are doing to buy there competently. I have a list of possible purchases I've been making for well over 2 years....and I just can't bring myself to deal with them

I deal with HK all the time...shipping is a pain but i have had good dealings with them so far ( knock on wood)
but of Course I am picky and choose carefully when i purchase, plus i always purchase extra parts...Props, LG,Cowls, whatever I generally figure will break in a crash or a nose over to start with, as that is the normal issues .
It can be a challenge that is for sure
I normally advocate for them ( Sorry Fly )
But I also have had a few issues with their shipping Companies ( not HK's fault ) but they need a better shipping method from there, and as I told Rob, it is up to them to get their shippers to do what is right by them as it hurts their business and their customers....sometimes here in the States it is the Customs people who cause the problem as well...learned that recently at JKF in NY .
And our U.S. Postal Service here has not been very good, lately either.
get a hold of Customer Service by Chat and they normally work it out you have to be patient and do as they ask...and it takes a bit but they normally get it right.
a Royal pain , YES...
but learning their procedures and who to talk to helps as well.
I contact the HKCSNY guys over on RCGroups forum.....they normally handle the situation if it arises....they are still a growing company with issues trying to be worked out. To many cross customs and language barriers I believe .
Fly.....as bad as they have been, they are getting better with handling the business end...it is the Shipping and processing that has been the most problem lately it seems. ( and they do sell some Junk as well )
Also people here are use to getting it now...and do not understand their process and what they have to do...most of the CS people are just hired folks who have a list A to Z they have to follow and they must follow that set guideline or they don't get paid and or loose their jobs, most are just phone junkies basically...once you learn their process and what you have to do as silly as it maybe, taking pictures, video whatever to show the issue with the product one buys...it goes really quick and easy.....
And normally from China to NY is 5 days...when customs gets a hold of it and messes it up that can spring to almost a month ( my last order for example)..they forced it to be sent back to Hong Kong , which it sat at JKF for a week and when finally shipped back and Re-Processed and flew back to JFK it had to go through the same process again...and it sat in NY for a few more days after that and when USPS got a hold of it and shipped it around my State here in WV , TWO Times to surrounding states , I finally got it shipped to me.
It is crazy....but with Hobby King themselves I have never had a real issue and I have ordered allot in the last two years.
I have been fortunate thus far.

Yes, sorry, I did mean Hobbyking. I hear what you say hghost about getting to know their CS system but I don't expect to have to understand a company system, I expect a company to understand my needs and sort it. I have had to email HK to say I have the wrong part, wish to return it and have the proper part sent to me. In order to do this I have to attach a photo of the part in it's packaging, a photo of the part itself, weigh it to an accuracy of +/- 5 grams which I've done and apart from an automated reply nothing further yet. HK doesn't exist anymore as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry for your troubles ...the one time they sent me a wrong order ( someone else's )...I took a picture and was on the Chat box with a Customer rep who by e-mail , gave me a link to send the photo attachment and it was all handled in about 10 minutes...and they sent me a return label by e-mail to return the wrong package and got my shipment started at the same time ( they have to have theirs out first tho ) . Crazy way of doing it, but I guess they have to cover themselves as I am sure they to have been ripped off by some evil people . Just a process,. not like anyone else's that is for sure...but it is just a hassle to have to go through it, but once you realize the process , it becomes easy and few issues go unresolved. there are allot of other more reputable places to buy from .

Doesn't matter how it looks that close, only how it looks and behaves in the air.
Chocks away!

rofl Chocks were away again yesterday, flew ok for a while then got into a spin so back to square 1 or is is it square 2, at least it broke in different places so the repairs were sound. :-) I also managed to crash the SC (1st time in at least 100 take offs) snapped off the fire wall so cheap repair when it arrives.
Not a good day :-)

Oh my. Lol.
Any idea what caused the crashes? Some kind of control issues or weather? Interference?
Seems odd that the spitfire was flying OK and then crashed... Followed by the Supercub, that's all.
Could just be bad luck, or pilot error... But it seems unlikely, doesn't it?

flew ok for a while then got into a spin Sounds like stall, often called a 'tip stall' (technically wrong but a common description). These happen much easier and far more common on warbirds. You have to keep the speed up. You go into a turn too slowly, the down wing stalls, and down she goes, often very abruptly and fast.
