Just curious. I get the feeling several of us are living dreams of RC flight from childhood as we get older due to having a little spare money...
So.. How old are you?
I'm 40.

Funny, I am a couple of Tads( digits) under 55.... Votes in
Good thing your talking numbers....and not everything else .
I guess I should have put here that I have had so many health issues, this body is about worn out, have faced allot of things most people twice my age go through . My first health issues started when I was 39.
I was active, played sports and thought I was in good shape....my heart told me otherwise.
After allot of surgeries and recuperating , I can do allot more, but still not what I use to .
But true age is not a number, really....I have seen Old folks who were immature and I have seen young, far to mature .
No, I think maturity of age is based on wisdom and knowledge....many possess it but few are mature enough to know what to do with it.... Some share it, some let it leak out like a dripping faucet, they simply do not understand what they have , some do not even know they have it, and sadly so many never will.
It use to take age to learn, now learning is Universal, yet so many refuse to do so . Age as they say like a fine Wine matures each passing day, but I have seen so many passing days that brought broken bottles , and so many spoiled containers , and so many drunk on wine and other substances, that they simply allowed it to slip away.
When us older kids forget we are, than age has caught up and the real maturity has left us....but if we can retain the child within, than the graceful aging process that teaches us and gives us wisdom and knowledge to share it's wealth than that truly matures us , and will allow us to be that child with no regrets, and enjoy every precious moment of it .

Well gentlemen, I am well into my seventh decade, however as some of you might realise I usually act/think about the same as a seven year old, probably due to a lifelong love of MARMITE. So, I voted on the >55, but should I also vote <20? Will there be a <10 voting area? Like hghost, I have had a few operations/hospital visits in my time, about 12 or more at the last time of counting, that will do thanks! But as hghost so rightly says, age is just a number. I have so many interests and hobbies and I am always doing something, but I do them with enthusiasm and the love of creating a new piece of art perhaps, or making new plants from old. With the passing of years (which seem to whizz by now) you do gain a wealth of experience and knowledge which I enjoy imparting to others when asked. I believe I am happier now than I have ever been and appreciate every day the love of my wife and family. The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time. hghost, I wish you and your family all the best and keep well my friend. May your heart beat strong for ever. Remember, "Nil illegitimi carborundum."

Well I'd better 'fess up that I too am in the chronological +70 bracket (+2) next month. Had a heart attack last year that our wonderful NHS fixed with a stent in under 3 hours from being picked up in an ambulance c/w paramedics to sitting up in the ward drinking tea. No Marmite sandwiches though sadly, just biscuits. Rather like Crazy Horse I've always been into something r/c flying just being the latest. I have recently decided to pack up motorcycling which has been an absolute joy for many years, sometimes riding on my own but best of all with a fantastic group of riders. I do know I've ridden over 30,000 miles in the last 4 years. I've come to recognise of late that my reactions are just not quite as fast as they were and as most car drivers are almost blind when it comes to bikes, fast reactions are essential. I'm very politically active particularly on Facebook and also my own blog www.freethinkeruk.wordpress.com dabble in watercolour painting and currently also struggling to learn to play a violin but that may well be a lost cause. As CH said age can bring with it a wealth of knowledge and experience which I bask in but also generates frustration when I can see politicians in particular making the same mistakes again and again. There seems to be some very nice people on this forum that I would love to meet but never will sadly. Grow old disgracefully

I've come to recognise of late that my reactions are just not quite as fast as they were and as most car drivers are almost blind when it comes to bikes, fast reactions are essential. Is that why your avatar shows you alongside a blue sign which I am sure is the one that warns: Unsuitable For Motor Vehicles?
