Just got one of these www.rcpitstop.co.uk/e-flite-180-qx-hd-720p-hd-video-camera-efla800-4514-p.aspDone a quick video test off plane and it works well. Can even be controlled by the tx if you have a spare flaps/gear port on your rx. The remote control can turn the video on/off or take a still. I don't have a spare servo port, but it can be operated manually too. Video quality is reasonably good and with just a tiny battery door mod, it mounts nice and solidly. I also like that the angle of the lens can be altered through 45°. Sadly too windy for a flight today, but next time I'm up, I'll have onboard video

I have multiple efc-721 cameras, and yes, they work pretty well, until the internal battery dies. Has anyone either replaced the internal battery or figured out how to power the unit externally? I'd be interested in hearing about it.
Thanks, Baz

Thanks for the info. Your key cam has similar specs to the E-Flite 721 camera. Both are 720p video cameras with sound. Both use 1S batteries.
I opened up the 721 to check out the battery. The battery can be replaced, it just needs to be soldered, no connector.
