I was at Harbor Freight a while back and saw they still sold cheapie radar guns. Not that I need such for anything in particular and my wife would shoot me if I spent money on such, but it got me to wondering just how fast a SC can taxi before it actually takes flight. I spent a few hours in just playing about with learning to control my SC by taxiing about a local church parking lot when I first got it. It was fun at the time to practice moves on the ground and not quite as easy as one would think. Anyone really know just how fast the SC skims across the ground before it takes off into the air? Just curious.

Interesting question and if anyone knows the answer perhaps they also know how fast a SC can go in the air?

Interesting question and if anyone knows the answer perhaps they also know how fast a SC can go in the air? In the manual, it says that you need to take care because it may be travelling in excess of 30mph. I've seen a video on youtube where an up-engined one travels well over 50mph but can't find it now. As for max taxi speed, its going to be slightly under stall speed. Which, in no wind is about ⅓ throttle for me. Assuming and guessing makes me think its about 10-12 mph before it would want it fly. But that's only a very slightly reasoned guess.
