Ok I would like to change the ESC/Receiver the stock HZ Super Cub has. My issue is deciding whether to stay with the brushed Motor and just get a brushed ESC and use my own Tactic receiver or upgrade to Brushless ? I want to use my Tactic radio system , is why i am asking. I also own a HK Decathlon , it has a outrunner 1200kv and uses a 20 A ESC and 9g servos and an 8 X 6 Prop The Decathlon uses the same battery as the SC does and the XT60 connector is about the same as the EC3 the SC uses. My wonder is , could the Decathlon Motor-ESC-set up work with the HZ Super Cub ? hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__10323__HobbyKing_Decathlon_Brushless_Plug_n_Fly.htmlIt appears it may, but I am not 100% sure and need some advice. I want to fly my SC more this year, but i would like to be able to use my Tactic Tx and not have to carry the Spektrum TX to the field just for the SC. I thought just taking the Decathlon Electronics and use them in the SC....or base buying a Motor -ESC on the Decathlon set up a 1200kv Motor and 20 A Esc ? Any suggestions and or advice is appreciated ? This site has Motors www.headsuphobby.com/370-450-Class_c252.htmI believe Flydiver provided that link originally and here is another site : www.customrcparts.comThanks in advance.

It's a bell style motor and I think it'll give you some grief setting it up. www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__21974__Turnigy_Aerodrive_DST_1200_Brushless_Outrunner_motor_1200kv.htmlThe amp rating is only a little higher than the stock Cub, and the prop used is somewhat on the small side to deal with the 1200kv motor. Frankly I'd go with one of the setups outlined in the forum and get on with it. If you stay with the brushless setup then you spend $ on an ESC you'll never use again. Folk have some very specific suggestions. Find one and go with it. If you look at the motor suggestions in www.customrcparts.com you can simply recreate packages that have probably been tried dozens if not hundreds of time. It'll save a little. Frankly, for you, leave it alone and carry the TX around until you are ready to jump in.

Thanks Fly ,as always...yeah I am on the fence, but I was just trying to decide what i wanted to do....most every plane I have is set up on my tactic TX, thought having the Cub on it would be easier as well. May just fly it until it goes array and than go from there.
I actually have the parts to build a complete SC ( fuselage-wing-tail-LG etc ) it just needs the electronics to do so, may just do that and leave the one i have as is for now.
But you know me, I have to ask and find out just the same.
