I've been spending lots of time on the sim practicing. My problem was the landings, never could bring it in gently. I suspect part of the problem was flying when it was actually too windy. But also, Cubby needed some bigger wheels to cope with grass.
But, today... stillness, utter stillness. So, I charged my 3 flight batteries, fitted the new 63mm main gear and headed to my favoured flying field for my fourth proper session with her. A total of 5 take offs and landings were done, all pretty good... most importantly, not a mark on the plane! I've made a short video out of the best of the clips.

Nice! Those bigger wheels seem to be coping well with the grass and helping you achieve great landings without noseover. Pleasing to note your success after the disappointments earlier this month. Once again, though - how come the winds were calm up there alongside the North Sea, when down here on the sheltered south coast they are still gusting? Doesn't seem fair to me!

Obviously because we deserve the better weather And thanks, I had such a grin on my face after some clean landings.. The first that have stuck properly.

Pretty neat flights. Practice does not make perfect like they claim, but it does serve to provide more opportunities for spectacular crashes. :-)

Well, the weather is once again perfect in Norfolk. So.. The batteries are on charge ready to go again today. Make hay while the sun shines. There will be no video this time, as the wife (and you won't believe this) claims to have better things to do than film me flying.
I know, I'm as shocked as you are!

Little wind down here in the SW but guess what? We've got rain instead. :-( Nice landings, you've a right to be pleased with yourself, mind you, the first one was heading for a wall so good job you pinned it. lol

The fence was further away than it looks, but yea... There was no abandoning that one with throttle. I think there was about 12ft to spare Yesterdays flights were fun, I was joined by a chap with a homebuilt 4 channel glow plane.. I was glad I took my charger, I flew 5 batteries in total. A good morning! Weather has closed in today, but hoping for more airtime before I'm back to work on Monday.

I have made several that work with everything from my GoPro to the smaller Mobius or key chain cameras. The mount is to the bill of the ball cap, so the camera is basically out of the way and films what your looking at as your hands are left free. One thing else is that the camera does not generally have so much bounce or shake, as the neck and head acts to cushion it as you move about. www.flickr.com/photos/a1930ford/sets/72157632754616680/I was always hampered when I had to take my wife along, as she too had other things to do. Often I'd have to wait an hour as she did her woman things in just getting prepared to go out the door of the house. This camer mount setup sort of helped in that way, as I was not having to drag her alone just to do the video stuff.
