Hello all, I am doing my first build (well, rebuild/replacement I guess) of my super cub with all new parts from headupsrc. I have a fairly good idea of how take planes apart/put them back together with the standard parts but seem to be stuck here. Motor: www.headsuphobby.com/Power-Up-450-Sport-Outrunner-Brushless-Motor-E-565.htmprop: www.headsuphobby.com/APC-9-x-45E-Composite-Propeller-A-610.htm(These were the recommended/compatible parts from headsup) the problem is the prop doesn't seem to fit on the motor (with the included adapter or without). Does anyone happen to have any tips concerning how to get this prop on there. One piece of info that may help is that I can mount my flyzone beaver prop no problem. Is there something I am missing here to get it on? Thanks for any help!

the only thing that I know of is to ream or drill the hole bigger, that's what I do with one of my planes

Shaft = 4mm The prop has adapter/spacers. Hopefully one of them should work. If not you may have to bore out one that is smaller to the right size. Unfortunately there is no real standards for props and adapters (stupid ass manufacturers) so fitting props is often a complete annoyance. HURC gives a list of compatible props. If the Beaver prop is very similar to one of those you can probably get away with it.
FWIW I don't see your listed prop anywhere on the suggest list. Why did you buy that one? Note-unless they changed recently (haven't bought an APC prop in a good while) the slow fly and thin electric props have different adapter sizes. Why? I have no idea.
Addendum: assuming this is the Beaver prop [Flyzone 12X6 Propeller DHC-2 Beaver Select Scale FLZA6272], a 12x6 will fry your motor on 2S and do it faster on 3S. The Beaver motor is 850KV (slow turning > bigger prop). The HURC is 1100KV, higher KV so it needs a smaller prop. Notice that lower voltage uses a LARGER prop, and higher voltage uses a SMALLER prop. Seems backwards at first but it is the nature of electric motors. The old Stock 10x8 for the NiMh Cub was because it was a lower voltage being fed to the motor.

The prop ordered was in the list at the top of the page. Reading the info on the prop shows: GWS EP-1060. I actually haven't had to time to work with this quite yet but will reply with my results.
10-4 on the beaver prop, way too big and would come way to close to hitting the ground anyway.

GWS props don't have sizing adapters. They either fit (not likely!), are too small and need to be reamed out, or are too big and need shimming. For reaming you either want to buy a couple specialized prop reamers (unfortunately both US and Metric are likely necessary), or a bunch of small drills. With drills you want a hand holder for the bit. Don't use an electric drill as it's too aggressive and hard to control. I use a holder for a tap and die set to hold the bit. Start slowly and be very very straight. For shimming you need to be creative if you can't find specialized shims, tape is mostly what I use. Shrink wrap can work put on in layers.
