I mostly fly from grass fields, occasionally I can use tarmac. It seems a lot of folk prefer larger wheels on their cub to make landings a little more predictable. So, what do you recommend? And where (probably for UK forumites) can I buy online? I don't want to change the way the cub flies if I can help it... Thanks

Thanks I used Dave Brown Lite Flite 2 1/2 " wheels.....They went right on the axle as is , without any drilling or adding to make them fit... They are very light and of good size . Remind you of Tundra Tires , but made of foam. www.dbproducts.com/store/lfwh.htmPictures of my Cub here supercubclub.proboards.com/thread/5317/super-cubShows the Wheels I use.

You should almost certainly find larger wheels are advantageous when operating on grass.
Like Sailor, mine are 61mm and cope OK with the mown grass on our local recreation ground.
You can go up to at least 76mm (3").
Plenty of choice online or at your LHS. Take your landing gear to the shop and they should find wheels to fit.
Remember to keep it light. Go for foam, not heavy rubber.
The black plastic axle nut unscrews to remove the wheel. As Sailor says, with larger wheels you will probably have to slip a piece of tubing over the axle to increase its diameter. I use light brass tubing but only because I had some already. The plastic tube from inside a squirty bottle should be ideal, as Sailor says. If the wheel is too wide for the axle, be prepared to grind down the wheel's hole to fit.
It's not a bad idea to fit a larger tail wheel, too. Mine is from a HZ Mini Super Cub.

Thanks guys, the only decent model shop for about 30 miles is only open when I'm at work and is a place I spend hours when I have a few days off... Its why I was hoping to buy online. I've listened and ordered these... Mostly because they're light, and seem the right size (6g and 63mm)... But, alloy rimz for the Cubby!
