No, not flight of the bumblebee - Flight of the Taxi Cub!
This is actualy my second flight with my Taxi Cub. The Maiden flight didn´t go so well, as I was pretty nervous and forgot to trim the rudder, which resulted in a Crash. In flight I always had right rudder, even when centered on the controls. The Landing gear was bent, and the Battery-case was almost ripped out. Not so bad I thought, as I looked at some of the crash pictures here on the board. Some people have worse looking Cubs to fix. So off I went to buy some glue, and some icecream for the popsicle sticks. Followed the modification for strengthening the Batterybox, and Presto! My cub was ready to take to the sky again. This time a Mobius Action Cam was onboard. The flight was actualy rather unexciting (video is maybe a bit boring - next one will be better). It was just a whole lot of wonderful fun. I´m so glad that I bought this wonderful little plane. Flew 2 Lipos, and had the fun of my life. And lo and behold: My little Taxi survived! Only my landings still need lots of practice, as they are often very hard (but ones that you can walk away from)! The strengthened wheels took their toll and held up beautifully. My Mobius Cam didn´t, as it flew out of its holding tray during a rather hard landing (Sadly it wasn´t on Video - still have to figure out why the camera stops filming every now and then). First thought that a wheel had been ripped off, before I realized it was my new camera rolling towards me... My wonderful new Mobius now has heavy scratches on the front, but still seems to work :-). Here is my crazy piloted work of art and a small picture of my damaged cam: Enjoy...
