yeah I know , me again.....
Another battery question to ask
One would think as much as I read bout this stuff it would be ingrained in my head by now...not the case
Ok my question involves mAh on the batteries...I know basically it is the length the battery will last at a given point ( something like that )
My Wonder is I have many smaller planes that use the 2S 7.4v 800 mAh and also some that use a 2S 7.4v 500 mAh batteries....other than possible longer run time or shorter which ever way it goes...will it create an issue with the ESC ? I am sure using a 500 mAh will not in the ones that take the 800 mAh battery ..but what about the other planes that say use a 7.4v 500 mAh battery ? Could it burn out the ESC ? Both are 2s and 7.4 v ....any issues that may occur ?
I should know this, but gonna ask anyway.....and other than Run Times what else is the mAh indication ?

It's just a 'gas tank'. Bigger holds more > may last longer. Bigger is heavier > may affect plane CG and flight characteristics.
In an extreme situation where you replace a small lousy battery with a larger much better one (same voltage) the better+larger battery 'may' supply a bit more amperage. IF the ESC is borderline the ESC MIGHT burn up. Most of the time there is no issue.
Note: In the case of the Cub.....in my opinion the ESC is borderline and the battery is small(ish) and kinda lousy.

Couldn't have said it better myself.my apprentice came with a 3200 mah battery, but I fly it with a 4000 mah battery

I have a Mini Cub I purchased Here --> hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__42985__Super_Cub_EPO_Brushless_2_4ghz_Mode_2_RTF_.htmlThis plane uses a 2S 7.4V 500 mAh batteries and a 10A brushless ESC , I also have a couple other planes that use a 2S 7.4V 800 mAh battery and they have a brushless 10A ESC as well . I also have a Yak 12 that uses 2S 7.4V 1000mAh 15-20A ESC. Just wondered about what batteries , wondered if I could switch them somewhat . Strange but the 800 mAh ( Admiral Battery ) batteries actually go in a smaller plane . then the 500 mAh batteries.( Turnigy Battery in small Cub above ) The 1000 mAh batteries for the Yak are to long to go in either of the other planes. But I was concerned about the effect on the ESC if any. I figured it was that way...I just always want to ask to make 100 % sure. Thanks for the replies.

O speaking of the HZ Cub...I want to use my Tactic Tx-Rx , I would like to get rid of what it has now. I would like to change out the ESC, Rx set up it has. But would like to keep same Motor , any suggestions on what would be a fairly nice cheaper set up ? ESC -Etc.
NOTE: The Parkzone Battery for the SC is the same battery I use in my Decathlon and Cessna 182 a ( Turnigy ).They are 11.1v 1300mAh batteries. The Turnigy is slightly longer and a little thicker , extremely tight fit in the current SC Battery box as it is Stock . I assume the Battery is good enough as is for the SC and the Decathlon and Cessna, both seem to have great power . What update on the battery would you suggest if any ?

I heard bad things about the Nano's
Motion RC sells an Admiral Battery that seems to do very well and are cheap priced.
Will check out the Brushed ESC. Seems Brushed things are coming Obsolete .
Thanks Fly
