I have a question about floats-ski's-Props
Now I do not fly off water, doubt I ever will, However I may off snow and grass.
Now about the Floats how do they handle grass Take-off , Landings , does anyone know ?
And how are ski's on grass , does anyone know, tried ?
But the real question is about Props . I see the Cub when using floats one has to change Props from the standard 9X6 to the 10X8 How does that affect the flight of the Plane ? And do you have to use that prop with Ski's as well ?
How does the floats affect the handling of the SC ? Ski's ? Changing of the Prop ?
Is it better, worse, stable-unstable, does it throw the CG off ?
I read where someone made ski's and it changed the plane somewhat, but they said after they did some changing it flies better and smoother. Just not sure how it affects it and in what ways .
I have other planes as well some with smaller wing length , wondered how floats, ski's will affect them ? Of course no two planes are identical, but at least will know what to expect and how to compensate.
Wondered if Floats-Ski's could , would handle grass landings . And even Snow. i see many Pics on snow seems to do Ok there, but just wondering.
And Prop size and angle, how does it change the flight and power and battery duration , if any ?
What would 10X8 Prop do on Cub without having floats on ? How ?
Thanks in Advance.

The 8x10 prop gives the cub more power for a water takeoff, water creates more drag so you need that extra power after the plane is in the air you should throttle back, the 8x10 prop draws more amps so flying with a 8x10 prop could burn out the motor, or esc, or both, as for floats or skies on grass can't say, but on snow its great
